Registering / Subscribing to Squeebles Connect
Once you have downloaded either (or both) of the Squeebles Connect apps, the next step is to register for a Squeebles Connect account and take out a subscription.
Types of Account
There are 3 categories of account: Family, Tutor and School. All come with a free trial (fully functional).
They differ very slightly in terms of features, but the main difference between each type of account is the number of children each allows access to. A full list of all subscriptions, with prices, can be found here.
Free Trial
Family and Tutor subscription come with a 7 day free trial that is automatically applied to your account once you have signed up. If you cancel your subscription prior to the end of the free trial period, you will not be charged anything at all. School accounts also have a trial period, but we will set this at a length that works for you, based on your school's needs. Contact us for more information on this.
Registering a Family or Tutor Account:
Step 1: open either the Squeebles Spelling Connect, or Squeebles Times Tables Connect app
Step 2: navigate to the parent / teacher login screen (below left), and tap the orange "Not Registered? Sign Up Now" button to access the registration process.
Step 3: Choose the type of account you would like to sign up for (below right).
Step 4: Choose whether you want to pay a monthly subscription, or a yearly subscription. The yearly option gives you 2 free months (10 for the price of 12). One you have done this, you will be taken to the screen shown below right, where the process of collecting the data required for us to set you up with an account begins.
Step 5: Proceed through the next 3 screens, where we will ask for the following information:
- First name, time zone, e-mail address, username and password.
For information on how we store and use your information, please visit our privacy policy. Agree to the terms and conditions of the app and then submit your membership.
Step 6: You should now be asked to sign in to your store account to confirm your subscription and payment method. If you cancel at this point, your account will still have been registered with us, but no payment will have been taken. You can always complete the process later by logging into your Squeebles Connect account within the relevant app and launching the process of purchasing a subscription from within the parent / teacher area.
Note: do not press anything, including the cancel button, whilst the app is connecting with the store. It may take up to 30 seconds for the subscription to process properly, even after the prompt from your preferred store has disappeared.
Account Verification:
Before you can use your account, it needs verifying. This is a simple process and how it works depends on the type of account you signed up for:
- Family and tutor accounts - verify automatically by clicking the link in the welcome e-mail we sent you
- School accounts - we will verify these with schools manually as there is some extra information we need to collect from the school.
Once all the above has been done, you are ready to log in to the Parent / Teacher Zone and start setting up your children's accounts....
Web Sign Up:
Currently you cannot set up an account or subscribe via the web version of either app, as we are not set up to take web payments directly.
This will change at some point, but until then, you will need to either download and install the iOS or Android version of one of the Squeebles Connect apps to handle this step.
Owning Both Squeebles Connect Apps:
You only need to sign up for an account with us once. That account then gives you access as a parent or teacher, to log in to both the Squeebles Spelling Connect and Squeebles Times Tables Connect apps.
However, if you want to actually use both apps (and want your children to use both apps), you will need a subscription to each app, which you need to sign up for and pay for independently. Owning a subscription to one app does not give you access to the features of the other app, nor does it give your children access to the other app.
If you have a subscription to one app, but not the other, simply download the app you are not subscribed to, sign in to the parent / teacher zone with your login details and you will be prompted to sign up for a subscription to the second app. Once that is complete and confirmed, you will have access to both apps.
Note: To avoid complication, we recommend Family and Tutor accounts sign up for subscriptions to both apps using the same platform and store account. Having a subscription to one app via Apple and the other via Google has the potential to cause all sorts of issues. Much better to streamline the whole process and stick to one platform.
