Design a Squeeble - The Winners!
We have our winners!
Congratulations to Axel, age 7, who we chose as our overall winner, with his wonderful Squeeble "Flomp". And also to Paloma, age 7 and Otto, age 10, who were our two runners up with their brilliant characters. Choosing the winners was so, so difficult, with so many amazing designs to choose from. If you didn't win this time, we're really sorry, but there will be more competitions in the future and who knows, it might be your artwork on this page next time. Stay creative!
Overall Winner - Axel, Age 7 with "Flomp"

Name: Flomp
Age: 9
Hobby: Recycling things
Favourite Food: Mango
About Flomp: Flomp sucks things in through his trunk and saves them inside himself, until he has the right parts to make something. When he’s finished making it, it comes out on his conveyer belt! He loves doing maths.
What The Judges Said:
KeyStageFun: We thought Flomp was brilliant. He's into recycling, in the most innovative way. He's colourful, smiley and he loves maths! Keith Siddle: My favourite is Flomp. Cheeky, inventive, with an environmental message.
Runner Up - Paloma, Age 8 with "Masey"

Name: Masey
Age: 10
Hobby: Sliding on rainbows (and chasing her tail)
Favourite Food: Melted rainbow ice lollies
About Masey:
Masey is a gentle amphibious creature living on both land and in rivers. She has small flippers to help her swim that turn to wings when out of the water. She has four small stubby feet and moves like a tortoise on land. Her favourite thing to do is to chase her own tail. The colours on her shell like back glow brightly when she is near a rainbow.
What The Judges Said:
KeyStageFun: We loved Paloma's amazingly colourful design and how much thought she'd put into her description of Masey. We also like having a Squeeble that lives on land and in the water.
Keith Siddle: Masey has a mythical feel. I love the use of rainbow colours and that she can both swim and fly.
Runner Up - Otto, Age 10 with "Nango"

Name: Nango
Age: 10
Hobby: Flying
Favourite Food: Anything colourful
About Nango:
Nango is 10 years old and loves to look at beautiful views and listen to music. He uses his leaves to spin around his head to fly, just like a helicopter. Nango likes to eat berries and brightly coloured things.
What The Judges Said:
KeyStageFun: A helicopter mango with leaves for propellors. Amazing. Colourful, creative and we also loved Otto's joke - "I hope you like Nango. I think he is absolutely mangonificent!" - wonderful.
Keith Siddle: Nango - a fruit that can fly like a helicopter. What's not to like!
Well done to everyone who sent us their amazing designs. We'll try and share a few of our other favourites here soon.
About The Judges
Judging of this year's competition will be shared between the Squeebles team here at KeyStageFun and children's author and artist Keith Siddle.
As well as being a successful artist, Keith has written and illustrated 4 children's books, aimed at children aged 4 to 8. We love his colourful, detailed illustrations of animals, and his tales of their adventures. We asked Keith to join us as a judge for this year's competition because we think his work shares a lot of the same values our Squeebles apps do - and because he knows a thing or two about drawing and painting!
You can find out more about Keith and his books below, and order them via his website: keithsiddlebooks.com
