Spelling Share - Terms of Use

Our KeyStageFun Spelling Share Service (hereafter referred to as "The Service") allows registered users of our Squeebles Spelling Test app to share the tests they have created with up to seven other devices.

By signing up for The Service you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions (The Terms of Service) as posted on our website (The Website) and also confirm that you have read and agree to be bound by our standard KeyStageFun terms of service (viewable at www.keystagefun.co.uk/terms).

1.0 Personal Information

Users of The Service must be 18 years old or older if they wish to upload or download spelling tests created using Squeebles Spelling Test.

We require you to submit a name, e-mail address, username and password when you register for an account with The Service. This information is transferred via a secure connection and will be securely stored to industry standards and will only be used by us to allow you to continue to use the service. All passwords are fully encrypted - even we don't have access to them.

You agree not to share your login details with anyone.

No children's details are stored by us anywhere, except on your device. We have no access to your children's details.

We will not share your personal information with any 3rd parties.

If you additionally tick the box requesting sign up to our newsletter during the registration process for The Service, we will store your e-mail address in our newsletter database, which is hosted securely by MailChimp (see MailChimp privacy policy).

In line with the EU's GDPR legislation, you have the right to request we delete all personally identifiable information we store relating to your account at any time. Deletion of such data will of course mean you cannot continue to use The Service and all spelling tests uploaded via The Service that are linked to the deleted account will be deleted, permanently, as well.

You may request a summary of all the personal information we have on file for you at any time.

2.0 Use of The Service

You agree that any spelling tests you upload (including their title, any words and any audio recordings made for any words) will be free from profanity or any other vulgar or suggestive content or content that could be used to bully, incite hatred, racism, sexism, homophobia or any other hate crime.

You agree that you will not share any information that could be used to personally identify yourself or anyone else, including location, full name or contact details for any person or organisation.

You agree that you will only share tests with people you know and trust.

You agree that your KeyStageFun Account is to be used to share with, and download tests from, trusted sources only (a friend, family member, your child's teacher or KeyStageFun).

KeyStageFun will delete the account of any user found to be in breach of these terms and conditions and will block their e-mail address and all device IDs associated with their account from using the Service on a permanent basis. We will also delete all tests, words and audio recordings uploaded by any user in breach of these terms and conditions.

3.0 Time Frame For Use of The Service

Tests and their associated audio files will be stored on our servers for up to 1 year after they were last accessed (uploaded, edited or downloaded). KeyStageFun cannot be held responsible for any accidental loss on their part of these files or for the deletion of tests that have not been accessed for over a year. KeyStageFun has the right to remove any test from our servers at any time if the test or the user who uploaded it breaches our terms and conditions.

We recommend that you store all spelling tests created by you on one of your devices as well as on the KeyStageFun servers.

Please note that removing tests from our servers does NOT mean the tests will be removed from your device, where they will remain until you choose to remove them yourself.

4.0 Audio Formats

Audio recorded on a device running one type of operating system may not play back on devices running a different operating system. The audio may be distorted, muffled or not play at all. We recommend only sharing tests between devices running the same type of operating system (iOS to iOS, MacOS to MacOS or Android to Android). By agreeing to these terms you understand this is the case. Downloading audio to your device in a format that cannot be played may lead to problems using the app correctly.

5.0 Updates to The Terms

KeyStageFun may occasionally update these terms of service and post the updated terms here on the KeyStageFun website. You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to review this Website and these Terms of Service from time to time and to familiarise yourself with any modifications. Any modifications will be effective immediately, and will apply to disputes arising under the Terms of Service from the date of posting forward. Your continued use of the Service after a modification has been made to the Terms of Service constitutes your acceptance of such modification.
