Squeebles Connect - Roadmap

We are committed to continue to develop and improve our Squeebles Connect apps in the future. With that in mind, if you have any suggestions for features you'd like to see included in Squeebles Spelling Connect or Squeebles Times Tables Connect, write to us and let us know!

Below are some things we're intending to achieve in the immediate and longer-term future. These may change, based on your feedback, but for now, this is where we're at with our future intentions for the Squeebles Connect apps.

Short Term (Autumn 2024):
App Feature Status
Spelling Add a "Pin Spelling List" function so that parents or teachers can pin a specific spelling list to the top of each child's list of available KeyStageFun spelling lists. In progress
(4th Oct 24)
Both Apps Improve the visibility of any incomplete homework so that when a child signs in, they are alerting to this in a more obvious way. In progress

Both Apps Add paste functionality to text input fields in the parent / teacher zone TBC

Both Apps Add a version number to the online version of each app so that you can see if you're using the most up to date version and refresh your browser's cache if not. TBC

Mid Term (Winter 2024 & Spring 2025):
App Feature
Spelling Increase the number of pre-recorded words from the current number (around 8,500) to over 10,000.
Spelling Add more spelling lists, particularly for older learners.
Spelling Investigate the feasibility of recording audio via the web version of the app (dependent on the reliability of the technology)
Both Create additional reward items for each app.
Both Create an area in the parent / teacher zone each child's 'Tricky Words' (words that they have previously mis-spelled) or 'Tricky Tables' (the equivalent for the times tables app) can be managed, so parents and teachers can remove these and view a list of the questions each child is struggling with.
Both Add the ability for school accounts to set parents up with limited access logins that allow them to see their own child's progress.

Long Term (second half of 2025 and beyond):
App Feature
Spelling Addition of spelling lists in other languages (French initially, then Spanish) to aid with learning those.
Times Tables Incorporate some division game modes into the app.
Both Creating an offline mode for each app, so that children can use a limited version of the app without the need for internet access.
